Lessons include the delivery of the learning materials, followed by detailed written feedback which will be emailed to you within 24 hours.
This feedback will identify the areas you are performing well in and areas for further development. This allows you to monitor your progress and will include recommended activities that you can complete between lessons and at your own leisure.
Lessons are tailored to your specific learning needs and this is something we will plan together.
These can include focussing on one or all of the four skills, reading, writing, listening and speaking. Throughout all classes, feedback will be given on any grammar errors and mispronunciations to enable you to improve.
My most commonly requested lessons are speaking practice.
For very specific learning needs I may need time to plan the lesson in advance, we will discuss this in more detail, as needed.
I have experience preparing students for both exams, so I can offer some speaking classes, however I do not offer a programme for this at present.
More information will be released regarding this in the near future but in the meantime check out my blog posts:
My teaching approach is very much student centred, meaning that I will adapt my approach to suit your needs. I like to create a teaching environment that is relaxed and friendly and where you feel comfortable telling me when an activity is not useful or enjoyable.
Your progress is very important to me and I value feedback. I will work in collaboration with you to change my teaching style and learning resources to hopefully overcome any barriers to your learning.
I take on clients with all levels of English from beginner A1 to fluent C2 (CEFR).
Students need to be at least at B1 level to be able to learn and develop their Medical English.
Yes, I will offer you a free 1 hour consultation prior to booking a class. I appreciate that when investing in anything online you want to know that it is the right service for you.
During this video call I would like to know more about your current English level and your language goals. I will be able to give you some examples of ways we can meet your learning needs and let you know more about my teaching style.
I will be happy to answer any of your questions and we can also talk via email or Whatsapp beforehand.
Currently, Microsoft Teams or Google Meet are used but we can discuss the use of other platforms.
